Hello! I'm Dr. Duffy, founder and owner of Compass Direct Care. I'm so happy you're here!

I'm a proud graduate of Boston University, Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Walter Reed Army Medical Center. I have been practicing medicine for over 15 years and started my career as a US Army physician. During my free time I enjoy the local boating lifestyle and cherish spending quality time with my wife and five kids.

Compass Direct Care's mission is clear: to bring back the doctor-patient relationship. As a physician, I believe this relationship is the foundation of high-quality care, but it has been lost in today's complicated healthcare system. Patients struggle with insurance regulations, high costs, long waits, and rushed visits, while doctors are buried in administrative tasks. There simply isn't enough time for a genuine connection.

Our practice allows for more time with patients and provides the opportunity for us to make healthcare decisions without interference from non-medical bureaucrats. This freedom allows me to practice medicine the way it was intended— investing wholeheartedly in patient care and developing a relationship rooted in trust, confidence, and compassion.

What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) makes high-quality primary care amazingly simple and affordable. Patients pay a monthly membership fee directly to their primary care physician. This fee covers all primary care services, procedures, diagnostic testing, as well as care coordination and comprehensive case management. DPC practices do not bill insurance for these services - thus removing insurers and other third-parties from your healthcare decisions. Your health is all that matters. ​
DPC practices are small (typically 300-600 patients, compared to 2,000-3,000 in traditional fee- for-service practices). This allows us to offer longer appointments, same-day or next-day scheduling, and direct communication with your doctor via phone, text, or email.
